Dear Riverside Community Primary School and Nursery
I am writing to you to tell you about our Step Out event on Saturday 13th May 2017 at The Hoe, Plymouth, and hoped you would be able to share this information with your pupils and staff.
The Step Out for Stroke is organised for anyone wanting to take part in a short walking challenge. The distance is less than 1km and the route can be repeated as many times as desired. It costs just £5 to register and you receive a free tshirt too!
We have created this event to be all inclusive so that people of all ages and abilities are able to take part. There will be stroke survivors taking on the challenge of taking a few steps and little ones who like a short stroll plus friends and family in support of their achievements and to support the Stroke Association too.
We hope to make the day as fun as possible and are inviting people from around the local area to help us make a difference for stroke survivors in Plymouth.
The Stroke Association funds research into the prevention and cure of stroke and support for stoke survivors and families. We aim to increase awareness as time is of the essence when a stroke takes hold. You may have seen the FAST campaign on your TV which we helped develop plus the breaking news recently about mechanical neuroplasticity which is being rolled out to save many lives.
Stroke is not age prejudice, help us to conquer stroke and take part in our Step Out for Stroke event near you.
